The Department of Music at the University of California Riverside invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Ethnomusicology position, beginning September 21, 2026. We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar with expertise in ethnomusicological theories and methods, popular music studies, and hip hop cultures and musics. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and the ability to engage students from diverse academic backgrounds and levels of musical experience.
