2027 Greg Tate Book Prize

This year’s Greg Tate Committee IASPM-US (Norma Coates, David Suisman, Kim Kattari) requests nominations for the most distinguished English-language monograph in popular music studies beyond the author’s first book, published during 2025. Books may be nominated by any member in good standing of IASPM, by members of the prize committee, by their authors, or by publishers. Copyrights must state 2025. Authors do not have to be current members of IASPM-US.

The deadline for nominations is October 22, 2026. Nominations for the Greg Tate Book Prize and electronic copies of the book should be sent to chair Norma Coates (ncoates@uwo.ca) and should include the author’s name, book title, and publisher’s information including ISBN. Note that E-books are preferred. If it is not possible to submit an E-book, contact Norma for snail mail instructions. Please feel free to contact Norma with any questions.
